Two warehouses dedicated to the agricultural commodity—jaggery—have been constructed within the premises of the Wholesale Market (Bhusar Bazar) section. These two warehouses feature a frame-structure design, incorporating continuous beams with a span of 50 feet. These warehouse facilities have been made available within the marketplace to ensure the storage and sale of jaggery—as well as other agricultural produce—are conducted in a smooth and organized manner. Each warehouse offers storage capacity for 25,000 units of jaggery, providing a combined storage capacity of 50,000 units across both facilities. The storage capacity for general wholesale commodities in each individual warehouse stands at 17,000 quintals. A row of sundry shops has been constructed adjacent to these warehouses. Each of these warehouses measures 204 feet in length and 51 feet in width, covering a total area of 10,404 square feet. A total of 36 shops have been constructed: 18 located on the northern side, adjacent to the 'A-Type' warehouse, and 18 on the southern side, adjacent to the 'B-Type' warehouse. Each shop measures 15 feet in length and 10/7 feet in width, with an individual floor area of 161 square feet. These shops have been allotted on a lease basis to licensees of the Market Committee for the purpose of trading in regulated agricultural commodities.
In the wholesale market, various types of plots—designated as A, B, C, D, F, and Sundry Shops—have been demarcated. These plots have been allotted on a thirty-year lease basis to commission agents and traders for the purpose of conducting business in regulated agricultural produce. The plot holders have constructed structures on these sites and are currently conducting their business involving regulated agricultural produce from these premises. The details regarding the total number of plots in the wholesale market and the number of plots allotted are as follows:
A provision has been incorporated into the bye-laws of the Shri Siddheshwar Market Committee to provide financial assistance to its licensed porters and weighers for their medical treatment and for the higher education of their children.
During the year 2024–2025, financial assistance for medical treatment was disbursed as follows: ₹10,000 to three female porters, ₹60,000 to twelve male porters, and ₹30,000 to six weighers; thus, a total financial assistance of ₹100,000 has been provided.
The sale of these agricultural commodities takes place within the main market premises—known as the Shri Siddheshwar Market Yard—specifically on the site designated as T.P. 2 Final Plot No. 97. Furthermore, a livestock market is held at this location every Tuesday. Within this dedicated livestock market section, twelve sheds, each measuring 25 x 50 feet, have been constructed to shelter the animals. Additionally, facilities for water supply—including a borewell, a hand pump, and an open well—have been provided. A combined canteen-cum-shed structure has also been built. For the convenience of the livestock, a raised loading/unloading platform has been constructed, and the entire area has been enclosed by a compound wall. Various amenities have been installed throughout the livestock and fodder market areas, including stone tethering posts, water troughs, water traps, corrugated metal sheds, and similar facilities.
Effective from February 26, 2013, ground rent license fees are levied on market days within the livestock and fodder market section at the following rates: ₹10 for stall holders, ₹5 for handcart vendors, and ₹10 for vendors selling other types of goods.
Located within the premises of Final Plot No. 97 is a cold storage facility with a capacity of 1,000 metric tons. Furthermore, a plot measuring 100 x 100 feet within the Final Plot No. 97 site has been leased to the Solapur Telecommunications Department for a period of thirty years, to be utilized as a telephone exchange.
Within the Final Plot No. 97 premises, a total of 30 shops have been constructed within the auction sales hall specifically for the trading of pomegranates.
