Jaggery Godown Department

Two warehouses dedicated to the agricultural commodity—jaggery—have been constructed within the premises of the Wholesale Market (Bhusar Bazar) section. These two warehouses feature a frame-structure design, incorporating continuous beams with a span of 50 feet. These warehouse facilities have been made available within the marketplace to ensure the storage and sale of jaggery—as well as other agricultural produce—are conducted in a smooth and organized manner. Each warehouse offers storage capacity for 25,000 units of jaggery, providing a combined storage capacity of 50,000 units across both facilities. The storage capacity for general wholesale commodities in each individual warehouse stands at 17,000 quintals. A row of sundry shops has been constructed adjacent to these warehouses. Each of these warehouses measures 204 feet in length and 51 feet in width, covering a total area of 10,404 square feet. A total of 36 shops have been constructed: 18 located on the northern side, adjacent to the 'A-Type' warehouse, and 18 on the southern side, adjacent to the 'B-Type' warehouse. Each shop measures 15 feet in length and 10/7 feet in width, with an individual floor area of 161 square feet. These shops have been allotted on a lease basis to licensees of the Market Committee for the purpose of trading in regulated agricultural commodities.
