Fodder and Livestock Market Department

The sale of these agricultural commodities takes place within the main market premises—known as the Shri Siddheshwar Market Yard—specifically on the site designated as T.P. 2 Final Plot No. 97. Furthermore, a livestock market is held at this location every Tuesday. Within this dedicated livestock market section, twelve sheds, each measuring 25 x 50 feet, have been constructed to shelter the animals. Additionally, facilities for water supply—including a borewell, a hand pump, and an open well—have been provided. A combined canteen-cum-shed structure has also been built. For the convenience of the livestock, a raised loading/unloading platform has been constructed, and the entire area has been enclosed by a compound wall. Various amenities have been installed throughout the livestock and fodder market areas, including stone tethering posts, water troughs, water traps, corrugated metal sheds, and similar facilities.

Effective from February 26, 2013, ground rent license fees are levied on market days within the livestock and fodder market section at the following rates: ₹10 for stall holders, ₹5 for handcart vendors, and ₹10 for vendors selling other types of goods.

Located within the premises of Final Plot No. 97 is a cold storage facility with a capacity of 1,000 metric tons. Furthermore, a plot measuring 100 x 100 feet within the Final Plot No. 97 site has been leased to the Solapur Telecommunications Department for a period of thirty years, to be utilized as a telephone exchange.

Within the Final Plot No. 97 premises, a total of 30 shops have been constructed within the auction sales hall specifically for the trading of pomegranates.
