A provision has been incorporated into the Bye-laws of the Shri Siddheshwar Market Committee to provide financial assistance to its licensed porters and weighers for their medical treatment and for the higher education of their children.
During the financial year 2024–2025, financial assistance was disbursed as follows: ₹10,000 to three female porters, ₹60,000 to twelve male porters, and ₹30,000 to six weighers for their medical treatment. Thus, a total financial assistance of ₹100,000 has been provided.
